Pre-Inspection Preparation

To ensure your scheduled inspection goes smoothly, please review the checklist below.

  • Payment Options: We accept Cash, Check payable to VM Inspection Services, or Zelle to 772-828-1988.
  • Payment Policy: Payments are due at the time of your inspection appointment. Inspection reports will not be submitted without payment. If payment is delayed, inspection reports may be delayed up to 48 hours.

  • Sending Reports to Insurance Agent or Realtor: If you want your report(s) sent to your insurance agent or realtor, please provide their contact information by calling or texting 772-828-1988. When texting, please include your full name.

  • Permit Numbers and Dates: If available, please provide roof, plumbing, and electrical permit numbers and dates to your inspector.

  • Gated/Secured Community: If you live in a gated/secured community, please inform your gate guard of our upcoming visit.

  • 4-Point Inspections Access: For 4-Point inspections, ensure access to water valves under sinks and behind toilets, the Electrical Panel box, Air Conditioning systems, and Water Heater. Please clear these areas for inspection photos, as our inspectors will not move items out of the way.

  • Attic Access: All inspections require attic access except for Roof Certification inspections. Please ensure these areas are clear for entry into the attic space.

  • Fenced Property: If your property is fenced, make sure entry gates are unlocked to allow for exterior inspection access.
  • Delivery of Reports: Inspection reports are delivered electronically via email in a PDF format. If you prefer a hard copy mailed to you, an additional charge of $7.50 will apply.

  • Presence During Inspection: An adult over the age of 18 must be present at the time of your inspection.
